What is your inspiration behind becoming an international DJ?
I wouldn't say I set out to become an international DJ, what I did set out to do was produce great anthem-style dance tracks that would go down well in clubs and I guess that has taken me on to performing in clubs and festivals all around the world.
Tell us about Summer Nights?
The Summer Nights video is a little insight into what its like being on the road as an international DJ - the cameras follow me throughout my time in Miami for the Winter Music Conference and you get to see the kind of things I get up to whilst being on the road.
What is your highlight from the documentary while filming it?
Its strange because the whole 7 or 8 days I was there felt like one massive highlight, the days seem to melt in the nights and the nights seemed to melt in to the days, all one amazing experiance. One part I particularly remember was being on my boat party when suddenly there was an electrical failure and all the lights and sound suddenly cut out. Strangely enough this seemed to send the energy levels of the crowd through the roof and it kinda created a very special moment, one which I don't think anyone that was there will forget.
Where do you stay when you are in Ibiza?
I tend to stay at the same two hotels whenever I go back there, one is the Ocean Drive hotel in the Playa Talamanca area of the island, a very nice modern hotel, perfect if you want your surroundings more on the tranquil side - and the other hotel I've stayed at the last 2 years I've been on the island is Ushuaia hotel in Playa D'en Bossa which is a beautiful hotel with amazing entertainment.
What do you miss most about Ibiza when you’re away?
I miss that there's so many different characters to the island - one minute you can be enjoying a remote deserted beach up at Portinatx in the north of the island which is beautiful and feels completely cut of from civilisation, then 20 mins drive and you can be enjoying one of the best sunsets in the world at Cafe Del Mar, along with 2000 spectators, then another 20 mins drive and you can be surrounded by 5000 energised clubbers going crazy to a work-class DJ performance at Ushuaia hotel. Its a truly magical place.
